Beautiful November

Well, it is finally November, and the world around here is just beautiful. The leaves are gorgeous, the weather is wonderful, it is my favorite time of year. I love seeing the changes that happen on a daily basis.

Things have been going well. The girls had a really good time on Halloween, Tori really had fun on her Beta trip to Louisville, we got all the cows run through and shots given, Will is working more at the caterer and liking it, the holidays are coming up which means I get to shop and there is nothing more fun in my book than to shop!

I have been feeling rather good lately. I have noticed a little of the weight dropping off (which is such a good thing), and overall I am looking at life more positivly. I just finished the Art of Choosing Joy class on BPS, and even though I didn't get it done, I have begun to take what was being taught to heart and really trying to look for Joy in all things.

One of the things I have been noticing lately is just how grown up my girls are becoming. Tori will be 16 in January and we have been trying to "pre" plan the birthday. I really want this to be special for her and even though I would really like to to be a surprise I love seeing how excited she is about it. She is just so grown up and I love her outlook on life. We have a good relationship and I am so glad for that. I remember how hard it was for me with my mom growing up, and I am really trying hard to be a different mom. I want them to know that I understand what they are going through and that I am here for them 100%.

I am glad that Tori feels like she can talk to us about anything. She doesn't hid when there is a new boy in her life that she likes, and she knows that if she is honest with us and tells us what is going on then we will be more open to things.

Emily is such a pill sometimes. She can drive a deaf man crazy, but she is so loving and caring of others. I took her shopping for clothes on Saturday and we had a good time. Took forever to find just the right pair of shoes, but we found some pants no problem and she picked out a new coat for the winter. She is just growing so fast. Up to a size 12 already, and her shoes are 6.5 in womens! Makes it hard for me to remember she is really just a little girl still.

Today the girls are out of school due to it being Election Day. Emily stayed at Mom and Dad's last night, so probably won't see her until tonight, and Tori plans to work on her Algebra. I think I will try and get some of the many bags of clothes brought up from the basement and load them up for Goodwill.

Sunday while I was doing laundry I finally bagged up all the clothes that had been getting piled up that need a new home. Turned out there was about 10 bags of clothes. Wow, things look better down there all ready. Hoping to get even more cleaned out/up so that when we decide to put the new flooring down I have somewhere to put my scrap stuff.

Well, off to feed the babies. I am sure they are waiting. This time change has really messed with their schedules.
