Been playing around with the old blog today while waiting for it to warm up outside a little. I have some tulip and daffodil bulbs that we bought Saturday in BG and I need to get them in the ground.
It got below freezing last night. About 24 degrees according to Mom's Jeep when they brought Emily home this morning. Lots of frost on the ground and leaves falling like rain on the drive to school. I love the crispness of these types of mornings, just really don't like the cold that much.
Headed to BG after school today to take Emily for what we hope is one of her last orthodonist appts. The one tooth they have been waiting on to straighten is finally there so hopefully we can make an appt to get them off. If she can get them off in the next couple of weeks that would be a good holiday gift for her.
Speaking of the holidays, I have been trying to get geared up to celebrate. We have done some shopping and really don't have much more that we need to get, although there is a whole lot less than in previous years. The girls really haven't asked for much, money is tighter this year and they know it, and they really don't need anything. The rest of the family is all taken care of, it is really easy when they don't want or need anything, so I have been trying to make them all a little something instead.
For me, I would be happy with a completely organized home. If I had the money to spend on just that I would be in heaven. Things have gotten so totally out of control in most places that there is just not anymore room. The basement is a major disaster area, looks a little better with 12 bags of clothes gone to Goodwill, but there is just so much stuff that is just sitting around because no one uses it anymore, or we just have no where else to put it. My parents are two of the biggest packrats around and alot of this stuff that we have down there is theirs. They have no room for it and no use for it, but if you even mention getting rid of it at all they are all about keeping it. Never figured that out.
Well, I am off to plant some flowers. Hopefully I can get them all in the ground. The dogs will probably go right behind me and dig them all up :)
