We really enjoyed this trip, but I am glad we only spent a little time at the beach. I really couldn't handle the sand in everything all the time. I am still dealing with it!
Charleston is such a wonderful place to visit. We have been twice now and love it. There is alot that we have seen, but still more that we haven't seen yet. I know that in the next couple years we will return and make plans to see those things.
October is really the best time to go, their busy "season" is over, schools are back in, and it is really easy to get into the sites. I wouldn't suggest going to Myrtle Beach during the first week in October due to Bike Week unless you love the sound of 200,000 bikes riding up and down the road all the time. I am only guessing at the numbers, but I know that there were thousands there. Needed ear plugs!
Today I am taking Tori up to get her hair done. Our hair lady wants to do some wild coloring on her for the Tobacco Festival Parade that is tomorrow. Tori is currently sporting Red and would really like to go Black and Purple (only a teenager huh!) but Christie isn't sure yet what we will look like when it is all over. Tori is really excited because she loves being different. I will be sure to take the camera and capture some pics.
Well, off to start the day!
