Em is off today to a two-week camp in Bowling Green at WKU. It is through the Center for Gifted Studies and is Summer Camp for Academically Talented Students (SCATS). She was asked to pick 10 classes and then they will give out the schedule today when we get there. She is excited and nervous.
Tori attended this camp 3 years in a row and loved every time a bit more. She also matured a bit every year. The first she had a roomie that she didn't get along with and was a complete slob but she made so many other friends that she had a good time. The second year she opted to be by herself as she didn't want a repeat of the first years roomie but ended up with a roomie anyway. They didn't have any classes together but got along well enough. But I think that the last year was the best for her as her best friend also attended and so they roomed together. What a learning experience for her!
I am thrilled that Em is attending too. I think it is such a good way for them to learn new things, meet new people and just have a good time during the summer. I will miss her for sure, but I know that all will be well.
