at least in spirit. Wow, where has the past few days gone? I have had every intention of posting the pictures from Tori's birthday party to show you all what a cute cake it was and what fun everyone had that night and just haven't gotten around to it, so I will wait to tell you that when I get my pictures uploaded.
Monday was an orthodontic appointment for Emily. She has already been through Phase I and been out of braces for just over a year now. We had pictures taken and xrays done to see just where all those teeth were hiding out. Met the newest Dr at the practice and picked him to be her new orthodontist for Phase II which they want to get started as soon as possible because of the way her 12 year molars are coming in.
Okay, fine we knew we were heading into another term of "metal mouth" at some point. I also figured that the cost would be less than the first set which was $2800. Boy was I wrong! I fell out of my chair when the girl pushed over the paper that had it all broken down. $4200 for the next phase. You have got to be kidding me! How in the heck am I going to come up with the $750 down payment they want to get started much less the whole amount? Easy, get a credit line for the entire amount so that you don't have to starve for the next 2 years or ask the parents to cough it up. So, on February 4th we get started with the first appointment of molds and spacers and on the 16th she will be getting them put on. At least she is excited about it as she knows that she really has no choice.
In other news, the weather is finally taking a turn for the warmer this week. Tomorrow and Friday we may hit the 50's. At least we are in the double digits for the time being and hopefully we won't see many more days like that this winter.
