The promised birthday

Meet Wall-E. Our neighbor thankfully made this adorable cake for Tori.

The reaction when she got just what she wanted. A bracelet and necklace that match the Venician Glass earrings that she got for Christmas several years ago. She figured that she would never get them but we suprised her with them.

Loved having "Happy Birthday" sung to her, even at 17!

And here is where her best bud Nathan took cake and gave her the ultimate tasting! It was great that he had me catch this on camera, she never suspected it.

And so there you have the birthday party of my 17 year old. We are taking guesses as to what next years cake will be. She has had Mumble the Penguin, a Dinosaur (Dinorawr as it is called around here) and then Wall-E respectively. Who knows what next years big thing will be, but I do know that I love that childlike whimsy that Tori carries with her. She can get a bit too serious sometimes, but show her a favorite thing and she is all grins and giggles.
