Need a mini me!

I could most certainly use a mini me running around doing all the chores that get neglected when I am elsewhere being busy. Like the laundry that is in need of finishing because Tori ran off to Ambers before it was finished. Like the cat hair that is flying around the living room everytime the air-conditioner kicks on because I haven't been home to vacuum it up. Like the scrapbooking projects that keep yelling my name every time I walk by my desk. Oh well, there will always be things to do and eventually there will be time to do them all.

We have been trying to get the haying done. The rain has made it near impossible to get up what we have gotten down. Yesterday Dad and I ran to pick up parts for the baler and we got it running. It took us 4 hours to do what should have taken only about 1-2 because it kept clogging up and we would have to crawl inside the dang thing to get all the hay out. Not fun, but I am proud to say that we did manage to get one more field rolled. Today we are hoping that the rain holds off enough for us to get the last one I raked rolled. They are calling for rain today in the afternoon and tomorrow. I have all appendiges x'd.

During all of this non-creative time I have had recently I have been really thinking about this weeks DOM prompt. "Moments" that have changed my life. I can really think of 3 that stand out as life-changing. I have been mentally journaling about each one trying to decide which one I want to use. I am anxious to sit down and journal on the computer about it. I know that I have way more than what can fit on a playing card and so I have been trying to come up with a creative way to do this weeks card. Thinking maybe an old cd or something.

I got a phone call at 8:00 last night asking me to be on call for a midwife run if I was needed. No problem, I was exhausted from the day but for the chance to see a new baby I would do it, besides the midwife has a great couch I could sleep on. Well, after getting clothes laid out, snacks packed and making sure the phone was ready by the bed I slept with one ear open all night. No call, but that doesn't mean anything. We all know babies come when they are ready. Sadly there will not be any pics to share of this new life as these are Amish peoples and they don't allow pictures.

Well, off to work (maybe)if not, off the do the laundry as my sock drawer is getting a bit low again!
