Sweet 16

Today my Tori is 16. Not sure where the years have gone, but man did they ever fly by fast! I have been reminiscing about the past 16 years and I have had to try to keep a stiff upper lip. The hardest part for me I think is that now she is old enough to date. I had always had the rule that 16 was the age before dating without a parent was allowed. Well off she is going this weekend. She is double dating to the movies as a birthday gift from her friends. I guess it is time to let go a little more as my girl grows up.

The top pic is of Tori and then there is the Dino Rawrr cake she wanted. She drew a picture and we cut it out of the cake, she made the bright icing and had bought curly candles that she lined up like I don't know what. This child is obsessed with Penguins and Dino's, and of course clothes and shoes.
Tuesday I meant to post because it was my mom's 61st birthday. I made her a cake, and we took the stuff over and made them dinner. I think that she really enjoyed that part. I had made her a perpetual calendar and covered a little notebook and she seemed to like both of those. She is one of those people that is really hard to buy anything for, and so I just had to wing it.
Will got his Personal Chef home study course stuff today. He is so totally stoked about it. He is so ready to get going on this and getting his business up and running. I have to get his chef coats embroidered soon, luckily mom has a machine that does that. I truly hope that this turns out the way he wants it to. I have the utmost faith in him.
Tori just had to find out if she and Brandon are going to Prom in May. The girl that does our hair just called and asked to set up the appointment because she had started getting calls already. Man, I remember going to prom and we did our own hair. Luckily we don't have to buy a dress because we found 2 last year that she really liked and I couldn't pass up the price. Hopefully they will still fit. She has dropped about 20+ pounds in the last year.
We have 69 babies running around the farm. Only 1 fatality, which is really good. Hopefully the cold weather that is about to hit us this weekend won't affect the "girls" too bad, they usually try to get out of the weather the best they can, and we have woods in every field that they are in for protection. It is so fun to watch them run and play, kids are kids regardless of what kind.

That cake is too cool! To design and create your own 16th birthday cake is awesome! Happy Birthday Tori! Good Luck Mom!
