Had a good Christmas

spent with Family. The girls got what they had asked for from Santa, and even though they got us up at 1a.m., we had a good day. A long day with a couple of naps for everyone, but a good one. It started out just going to open Santa and then go back to bed for a few more hours, but of course that just wouldn't do and so we took turns opening 1 gift at a time and enjoyed watching the reactions. It was too early to call Mom and Dad to come over as per tradition, so they did miss out, but it was nice too.

These are some of the pics I took on the Sunday before. I set up the tripod and snapped away. Didn't get the 4 of us together before company arrived, but Carol got some of us together and just waiting for her to email me those.

I was rather suprised that the girls cooperated enough to get some rather good pics. We haven't really had a family pic taken in about 4 years. Guess that would make it our wedding pictures. The girls have grown up quite a bit, and Will and I have grown out quite a bit!!!

Now that the holidays are over and all the decorations have been put away it is time to start thinking about the New Year. I don't really make resolutions, and they are never really obtained, but I have taken to picking "One Little Word" for the year as suggested by Ali Edwards on her blog http://aliedwards.typepad.com/. Last year my word was Focus. I don't really think I did too bad with it, I didn't lose my mind totally with all that the family went through, but I do need to "refocus" on the crafty side of things a little.

I will be trying to come up with an appropriate word for 2008. I have many goals and plans for the year and I would like a word that embodies that, but above all I want to also be able to enjoy my year to the fullest.
