Getting Ready

for the holiday. I really hate the idea of people coming over to my house and it not being cleaner than what we normally do weekly, so I have made a list of all the things to get done before Thursday and have spent the morning cleaning the dust bunnies off of my kitchen ceiling and I pulled off those dust collectors from the top of the cupboards and they are currently running through the dishwasher.

I need to stop my and pick up Mom's carpet cleaner to give some of the carpet a little clean, and the kids are going to be helping regardless of whether they want to or not. If they want to eat any of the good stuff on Thursday they will most definitly help me out :)

I did a few fun crafty things yesterday while watching the football games. I had picked up some Christmas crafts last year on clearance and decided to get them done. The first was a set of 3 frames that are covered with paper and then they hang on the wall. I let Tori take it to school today to go into the Beta basket that is being raffled off. The second thing I made was the word JOY. It was a set from Colorbok and I think I will prop it up on the piano.

Been trying to work in making some gifts, but since I am actually having to clean up my scrap area instead of just leaving the piles where they are, I guess I will have to wait until Friday to really get started. The Giving Well class I am taking is giving me some great ideas, and I found 2 different things I plan to make on the Fiskateers website. Really easy and the one I have stuff laying around for it anyway.

Saturday was the last of the Super Saturday's for Emily. She had a really good time in her pottery class and made some really cute things. Of course I didn't get any pictures, but I know that she had a good time. While we were there Tori, Will and I went to the Gatton Academy Preview Day. It was very informative for both us a parents and for Tori. She is seeing things a bit clearer, and is a little nervous, but still excited about the possibility of going. I think she stands a really good chance of making the cut of 60, but we will have to wait until March to see.

Off to find more dustbunnies!
