An update on Dad: He is in a regular room now. Patsy called last night to say that they have him moved, so now visiters can come and go as they like and there are no more time restrictions.
He is doing great, getting alot of therapy, which wears him out, but he is really improving greatly. I thought that maybe Emily and I would drive down to see him today. She has been missing her Papa, and I am looking forward to seeing him without the vent tube and in a regular room.
Tori has been staying over with Amber for the past few days while Mom is down staying with Dad. They have collaberated on a gift for Tia and just hanging out doing whatever sisters do. Emily on the other hand has been content to just stay at home and hang with the "parents".
I have been reading "Real Women Scrap" by Tasra Dawson. I had read on the new BPS blog that there is a class in the works with this book, and instead of waiting until the class comes out, I decided to get the book and see what all the talk was about. Well, I am about half way through, and I can really see where there are changes that I need to make in my life. I feel like Tasra is talking to me about most things. I know that I get so caught up in the "What will people think" and "She does things this way" and "I wish my life was more like hers" that I can't even find myself most of the time. I guess I need to adopt an "It's my life, and I have to live it my way" type of attitude. Working on it!
I read several blogs each day (or at least whenever I can) and there are some ladies that just "speak" to me. I admire so many of them, and see that overall they are very happy women, they are happy with their lives and themselves. I am in the process of trying to adopt the things I personally like about each person. So today I will begin putting down a few things that I am grateful for each day.
Today I am grateful for:
1- My hubby who is planning on making a fabulous dinner tomorrow.
2- Emily, for just being her loving, happy self.
3- My freedom to do what I want and need to do each day
4- My Dad and his improving health
5- A good book and a nap!
