Enjoying the weekend

We had no plans for the weekend that were out of the ordinary for us. Clean the house up, get the laundry done, maybe a little yard work, really nothing special. We actually got most of what we set out to do done with the exception of moving some railroad ties that have been used to mark out around the swing set that is going to a new home and so the "weed bed" is getting some roundup and a good cleaning out. Maybe we will get some lawn back there again.

If the weather holds out and we don't get the expected rain showers we will start mowing hay tomorrow. I am ready to get started with it. I think we missed a good opportunity to get started this past week, but we are ready now.

One of the things I have been trying to get finished up for awhile now is a Graduation Album I started and nearly completed for Amber. She has been out of school since 2007 and I can FINALLY say that I am finished with it. I think I will give it to her for her birthday in July but may just hand it over since it is LONG overdue! It feels good to get it done and now I can get planning on the next one. I am thinking that if I get started now by the time Tori graduates next year I should be done. If I play my cards right I should be all done with everything up to her senior year and that can be completed as the year progresses. I will have her decide what colors and papers to use as well as pick out an album and since I have everything in a big file folder I really am good to go.

I plan on making another bunch of cards to send to the Cards for Heroes with all the scraps and leftover paper that I used for the album I just finished. I did a little cutting tonight and will have about 60 cards to start. Since I am using patterned paper I can just do a little decorating and they will be good to go. I have been leaving the inside blank so that they have the entire inside to write on and I just stamp some sort of sentiment on the outside. Its good to know that with a little free time I can really make someones day.

Well, since it is a bit past my bedtime and I have a new book calling my name I think that I will head to bed. Have a good conclusion to the holiday weekend!
