So far my April hasn't started out too good.
On Wednesday morning I took off to feed the cows and since the folks had their rehab appointment in the a.m. I was on my own. No biggie, do it all the time, usually I just pass over the really pig-wiggin's to keep myself from getting run over or something but I was feeling generous since the day was so nice and pretty. I made my first stop at what we call the "Blue Gate Field" to feed the girls in there. The mob was ready for me and I ended up getting stepped on. My right foot got nailed good and I ended up hollaring and cussing a blue streak and throwing buckets and everyone. I managed to finish up feeding the girls that were close and hobbled on home.
Once I got home and limped miserably to the door I was able to take off my boot and see the big, nasty bruise growing quickly. I was sure that it was broke but with toes there isn't much a doctor can do anyway so I really didn't think much about it. Plus, I was taking Emily to Build-A-Bear in Nashville and I wasn't going to break another promise to her. Will offered to drive us down and we made our way slowly through the mall and had a big time shopping! She got the new lamb and several outfits + shoes and a purse. It was a fun time and since we did go in the middle of the week there was no lines to contend with.
After we finished up in there, we hit a couple of Game Stop stores and she picked out 2 used DS games to play and then we hit Barnes & Noble. We each got a book we had been waiting for and then it was off to Red Robin for lunch. By the time we were all done Will decided that I really needed to see a dr about my foot and we headed to Bowling Green and UrgentCare for xrays.
Of course since I had walked around all day on it the best I could it was really swollen and purple from the base of my ankle to my little toe and quite tender to the touch. Luckily it isn't broken to badly and now I am hobbling around in an air cast and crutches. Not a good start to the month.
In other news. The girls are in their final days of Spring Break and I think that they will be happy to head back to school. They only have about 7 weeks left anyway. We booked our room in Orlando for October and the lawn is in dire need of mowing. If it would only stop raining long enough to dry out so we can mow.
Well, off to finish my new book and try to get some sort of creativity going. I have several projects that I could be working on and classes that I am behind on. Oh well.
