So, what have I been doing?

Reading this series. So far, I have finished the first two and I have been enjoying them. I bought the box set just before the holidays and after things started settling down I decided it was time.

I have also read: before I started on Sookie. I also have waiting for me thanks to my wonderful husband that knows I really wanted it the other day while we were in the mall and made myself say no. I think I may just have to read it next before it drives me crazy!

We are finally going to sell some of our babies this week. Tomorrow we will move one bunch down closer to the house and pick out about 35 steers to take to the buyer on friday. That leaves quite a few still, but by getting the biggest of them gone now then they will be easier to feed for a few more weeks. I haven't checked the market sites, but I am guessing that it must be up some if we are selling some. I hope that the rest go soon. I really hope that most of the entire herd goes as it just isn't very cost effective to keep them much longer and I don't think we will have enough hay to feed all winter, especially with the temperatures that are hitting this week.

Today I managed to get a couple of gifts made for mom. Her birthday is thursday and I usually save something I have gotten while Christmas shopping but somehow didn't this year. I made her a cute picture frame with a picture of Chloe in it and a set of coasters that I hadn't gave out at Christmas. I think I will plan some sort of dinner or something depending upon the schedule for that day. A trip to Nashville is on the menu as a check up on dad's back but I have no idea what else is going on.

I managed to get my neighbor who is currently in culinary school to make Tori's cake for Saturday. She wants a Wall-E cake and I had gotten the shaped pan from Wiltons at the store awhile back and had planned on making it but since she offered and has all the stuff handy I jumped at the chance to pass it off. In exchange I will help her make the cake and food for her nieces wedding for 300 in June. Sounds fair don't it?!

Well, the KY basketball game is about to come on and I usually try to watch it with Will as he watches the Titans play with me. They are playing the University of Tennessee and I hope they kick some Vol butt!
