Good Bye November

Wow, another month is all but gone. Just where does time go and why must it go so fast! December begins tomorrow and the race towards the 25th begins in earnest for me. I like to wait until after the 1st to get the holiday season rolling. Oh, I shop and get the gift-giving going before then, but I like to wait until at least the first to drag out all the holiday decorations. No one else really likes to see things my way though.

I told Will that him and the girls could put up the tree while I was busy working calves yesterday, but luck was on my side and Tori and Kevin were put to work elsewhere, Emily was at mom's and Will was piddling around the house and cooking a big lunch for all us working out in the cold. No tree and no decorations strung out all over yet. And today ain't looking too good either! Of course there is the whole football thing, and Tori has to work a split shift today which means she has to be there at 11 and work through the lunch rush and then go back and work at 5 for dinner. I personally have another weeks worth of laundry to do and hope to finish up my Daily December album before tomorrow.

We had a really great Thanksgiving dinner. Will's fried Turkey was awesome and we had way to much food! Every one ate their fill and really seemed to enjoy themselves. Tori and Kevin left after we ate to go to his moms house to eat again. It was perfect weather, in the 60's and so nice to be outside for. Made me wish we could eat outside. After everyone went home we watched the Titan's game that we had recorded earlier. First time they have played on Thanksgiving and they kicked the Detroit Lions butts all over the field. A perfect ending to a great day!

Friday we hung out and relaxed. I haven't felt all that great (got an awful cough and stuffed up head) so I lazed around and tried to get some rest. Yesterday we worked the calves. Gave them all their booster shots and banded the little bull calves. Because they have cooperated so well it only took a couple of hours to get 120+ calves run through. The weather was great for it also. No wind and not all that cold.

Since it is so dang early and all I think I will try to catch a few more zzzz's before I have to face the day. If nothing else I can see I will be napping for sure today!
