It's not all bad

I mean come on, pre-season football started for me on Saturday and my team kicked St. Louis Ram butt all the way back to MO. I for one was thrilled that they are starting out so good. Oh, the Tennessee Titans are my team btw. Vince is gonna be great this year, and with a defense that scares the dickens out of everyone they should go far this year.

Seriously loving watching the Olympics too. Michael Phelps is one badass dude when it comes to the pool. I enjoy watching most all of the events, but swimming, diving, beach volleyball and gymnastics have to be my favorite, of course when that is just about all you see on NBC then you just take it and enjoy.

The My Freedom class finished up over the weekend. I have a nice little stack of handouts that I have printed just waiting for me to get my butt in gear and get busy. I swear I will finish it sometime soon. Same goes for all of my other projects on the "to-do" list.

Speaking of those dang lists, how many times do you write the same things down only to NOT get them done? I gave up on actually physically writing things down and just go by the idea that if I can see it needs to be done then I need to do it. Most things have a day when they get done. Laundry is done twice a week usually. With 5 people in the house it adds up quickly.

Garbage is taken out weekly. We have a dumpster here on the farm that is picked up once a week, and usually we don't over flow any one garbage can. With a trash compacter in the kitchen that makes for just a weekly trip.

I vacuum regularly as I love my Dyson and love seeing the cat hair swirl around the canister. If I was to keep all the hair that gets picked up in a weeks time I could make a nice fur coat for someone. 6 cats do a lot of shedding! Dusting on the other hand doesn't get done quite as often. Having a paved road now things aren't quite so bad as they were before, and I really hate to dust.

I don't mind doing housework for the most part, and I try to set a good example of picking stuff up and putting it away when I am done with it or when I see something needs to be put away. I keep thinking that one of these days my kids will figure out that if they just do it instead of waiting for the other guy I wouldn't have to get mad and ask 50,000 times. So far though they "forget". I do know without a doubt that one of these days it will come back to bite them in the butt, just like it did me!
