How do you prefer the pace of life?

Do you wish things would speed up or slow down? Those were the blog prompts for Friday, and considering it is now Sunday and I am just now getting to them may or may not answer that question.

I would have to say that right now I enjoy a very slow pace to my life. Things just putt along at a pretty even speed. I know that has to do with that fact that I live and work right on the farm and that makes travel nearly a non-issue. Occasionally I will have to go to town for some reason, but not on a daily basis. Turn back the clock 5 years and I was traveling everyday to work and my life was entirely different. It was faster paced and I was always busy doing something either for work, my new love, or the girls.

I have decided that life is all that you make of it, and I may not like change very much but when it happens you just roll with it. Sometimes you really don't even notice how much things have changed until you stop and look around.

Okay, on to what we have been doing. Friday Emily came home from camp. She had a good time and was just full non-stop chatter (which is way normal for her). Saturday morning we got up to find out that we were gaining another person to the household on a temporary basis. Tori's boyfriend Kevin was getting kick out by his parents for some reason (which we found out later was because of their selfishness) and so we offered to let him stay here for awhile.

Now I know what you are thinking. 2 teenagers with raging hormones together in the same house. That is where Emily comes in really handy. Moved her downstairs with Tori and put Kevin in Em's room. Can't go downstairs and besides you have to have trust or things go to poo really quick. Kevin is a good kid going through a rough patch and Tori has enough respect for us and herself not to do something that she know is wrong. We will just have to see how things go. Right now he is still a bit scared of us (which may be a good thing!)

Well, the girls made muffins for breakfast and we are all starving. Laundry is definitely on the agenda today as it seems to be growing out of the hamper and up the walls. I am still trying to figure out what I want to do for my album for Shimelle's class and I have to go shopping this week. I really hate to shop with the kids sometimes, but school starts really soon.
