Here I am 20 years later with the love of my life in Myrtle Beach, SC
I know that I have changed tremendously both on the outside (wrinkles and sagging) and on the inside (braver and more insightful) I also know that deep down not much has changed. I still have dreams and wishes and I am still that small-town girl. I wish so much for my girls that it is overwhelming most of the time.
On to today's prompt. This week we are looking at what Inspires us and what our Aspirations are. I tell you what, Shimelle is making us do some seriously deep thinking. I know for me I find inspiration for not only my scrapbooking, but also my life from several of the blogs I read. These people seem to have it all figured out, and I know that isn't the case because in reality we all learn daily and we never have everything all figured out.
One of the first blogs I check everyday is Ali's . This lady is someone that I truly look up too. She is so great in person too. I was lucky enough to meet her at CKU in Nashville last August. She is down to earth and so inspiring to me.
Another wonderful lady is Stacy Julian. I love this lady. She is a ray on sunshine in a cloudy world for me. I have read both her books and have taken a ton of classes from her and other wonderful and talented ladies at Big Picture Scrapbooking. I am hoping that one day I will be able to meet Stacy and have a day to pick her brain or just bask in her energy. Man I would either sleep for a month or never sleep due to the pure inspiration that radiates off of that woman!
I have way more blogs that I like to check out than I can possibly list. I try not to spend my entire day on the computer because I have a life (kinda) and it requires me to NOT be logged in all the time. I do get carried away sometimes and the day gets away from me but I try not to let that happen too often because then I start to feel guilty about all the things I didn't get done.
Oh, almost forgot to tell you. Went school clothes shopping yesterday. Man am I glad that is over. I dread it sometimes because I know that neither one of the girls really desperately needs much, but we did manage to get a few things to get them through at least until Christmas. They are really ready for school to start back up and it will in 15 days (NO, I am not counting down!!!!) Now I just have to take Amber shopping for her 19th birthday which is this Saturday. I asked what she needed and she said jeans, so I just have to get over to take her. Will definitely take me longer to drive to Bowling Green than to shop because that girl hates to shop for clothes. In fact that girl hates to shop period. The other two make up for it though.
Well, off to continue my day. Hope all is going well.
