Its a little balmy today

We went from a very cold 10 degrees to a very balmy and strange for January 70 degrees. Rain and lots of wind is expected tomorrow but today was beautiful. A great day for babies! So far we are up to around 40, should have 2 more for sure in the morning.

I know this sounds strange, but we have been eating together as a family every night since the first of the year. Don't get me wrong, we have always eaten as a family, but we are now sitting down at the table together with no tv going and we are actually talking to eachother. Quite a feat considering on of us is a teenager with a social life (so she says) and the other is 10 going on 30. I have felt a calmness in the household. In fact, T0ri actually took down all the laundry and unloaded the dishwasher yesterday WITHOUT BEING ASKED. Now granted the girls have had the same chores for the past 4 or 5 years, but rarely do they do them without being reminded in some way. I think we are off to a good start.

A.C. got to come home today. It was so good to see her. She was at the vets for over 22 days recovering from her bite injuries. She was so totally excited about being home, and it really couldn't have come on a better day. This morning while driving over to chore, Mom and Dad found Gizmo dead on the road. He had been hit by a car around 4:30 a.m. I have tried hard all day not to cry about him, because I was the one that found him and named him, he just became Mom's dog.

This is a picture of Gizmo and Willie (in the back) at Mom's house. They had alot of fun playing with that turtle.

THanks for your visit and comment awhile back.
Congrats on your year anniversary of no smoking! I lost my dad from that horrible additive habit. He was never able to break it.
