18 Months Today

I quit smoking. I can't believe that it really has been that long. I don't miss smoking, and for the most part I no longer have any cravings. I did have a dream the other day and I smoked one and but did it taste good, but I wouldn't go out and buy any more. I save on average about $1,000 a year by not smoking. Much better to spend all that money on scrapbooking supplies!!!!

These are the layout I made last night. The top one is of a quote I found on Ali's blog and it really made me stop and think and so I decided it needed to be seen, the second layout is about the new year and what I want to do, and the third is my Life Word for this year and what I want to concentrate on. It felt so good and freeing to get things out and down on a page.

This morning is a cold and miserable beginning to the day. Temps around 15 degrees, snow blowing a little and the wind just cuts right through you. The upside is we had 3 more babies this morning with several more going to be born any time.

When I got in I was frozen. My face was red and numb and my butt was numb from sitting on the vinyl seat. Next time I will take something to sit on and definitly wear longjohns under the coveralls. I hurried and started cleaning on the house, running the vacuum and taking the laundry down trying to warm up a little. Now I am thawed and starting to get cold again, so must be time to take a hot shower, throw a load in the washer, clean up the kitchen then crawl under a blanket with my book.

I started reading the January book for the BPS book club the other day (Tori has been hounding me to get it read because we borrowed it from her friend Nichole) and I must say that I am rather enjoying it. I had read his book "The Kite Runner" and was wanting to read "A Thousand Splendid Suns" also, but I wanted to wait until closer to January so that I could remember it. The class starts tomorrow and I can't wait to see how it is going to go. I have decided to read all 12 books this year, and have been slowly buying the ones that we either don't already have or that I can't find in our rather rotten library. I still need to get February's book ordered. I was going to get it last week in BG, but when I can get it cheaper on Amazon I decided to go that route instead.

Off to conquer my little world!
