I like seeing how everyone that has a blog that I read changes their header monthly, and I have spent the entire morning trying to figure out how to do it and make it more festive. It frustrates me beyond words to know that I just can't get it to look the way I want, so I guess until someone with much more knowledge that myself comes along it will have to stay like this.
The tree is up, the outside lights are up, the random amounts of snowmen that I have collected instead of Santa's are up. Saturday while I was out working Will and the girls proceeded to unload every tote of Christmas decorations and get them put up. I told them they had to wait until at least December 1st, and they took me at my word.
In spite of the mess all this brings, it does look nice, and I am sure that as the month goes on I will get more and more into the decorating spirit. I did get the cards all done (forgot to get a picture of them though) and have been making some cute calendars from clipboards that I got from the Fiskars website. I made one for Emily's music teacher last week and I think that she will love it.
Amber is feeling better. Had to go and take her to the doctor yesterday for a UTI and kidney infection. She called between classes and said she is feeling much better and even managed to finish her book and get the report done that was due today.
Em's teacher called a little bit ago to tell me that Em has a belly ache and wondered what I wanted to do. We agreed that if she could make it to the end of the day then we would just wait and see. Seems there are several kids out with the stomach bug, and so I am hoping she is not coming down with it too.
Tori takes the ACT again this Saturday. She needs to boost her math by at least 3 points, but she doesn't seem to want to talk about steps she needs to take to study for it. I don't know what to do. Ultimatly the Academy is her call and all, I just hope that she is as serious about it as she says she is.
Talked to my best friend Kim last night. It has been months since we talked and because we always wait so long we are usually on the phone a couple of hours. Email is handy, it just isn't the same as actually talking. Wyoming finally got some snow on Saturday she said. Seems that their weather was about as strange as we had all summer and fall. I am sure that the whole country felt changes.
Well, need to go through my pictures soon and get them seperated for Scrap Etc. So many of the pictures that I have taken are either still on the camera or just uploaded into a generic folder. I don't want to be waiting until the last minute to get the homework done and since I need to journal too I really need to quit procrastinating and just do it!
Gotta go and get the Emmer's from school. We get to hang by ourselves this afternoon. I think I will see if she feels like wrapping some presents she picked out.
