On the Road

We are on the road to recovery! Mom brought Dad up to SKY rehab yesterday, but she feels that he is doing well enough that he won't be there long at all. He is really doing super, and I can't wait to see him this afternoon, and for him to be able to come home.

Today is Tori's Sophomore Orientation at school. I am taking her and her friend up to meet their new teachers, find their new lockers, and just generally find their way around to that they are not totally lost and looking like dorks tomorrow.

Speaking of tomorrow......It's The First Day Of School!!!!! I am just a little thrilled, but will miss the sleeping in part of summer. The girls are both really ready to go back. They miss their friends and having something more than just housework to do.

Last night was Emily's Back to School night, so we took her supplies and met her teacher. She was excited to find out that she indeed got the teacher she/we wanted, but she has several of her freinds back in her homeroom. Fifth grade- where in the world did the time go anyway?

Will is working part time for a catering company as well as for his mom and the apartments. It has been good for him to be able to get out of the house several more days a week. Good for my sanity also :)

Been thinking alot about trying harder to get organized around here, but as always have no idea where to start. I plan to go through the clothes downstairs that have been outgrown and get them to Goodwill ASAP. That will do a whole lot to clean things up down there. Tori is good about going through her clothes regularly, and I helped Em do a little with hers when she cleaned her room over the weekend. I do try to pull out the things I know are too small when I do the laundry and that does help some.

Both Will and I have the "wishes" clothes piled up downstairs. You know, the clothes that you have "outgrown" but with a little effort and less junk could wear again! Well personally I have no intentions of staying this size much longer. The problem is when it is 90+ degrees outside and humid and no gym close by and no money for that anyway the pounds just stay where they are and I am totally miserable. Hopefully soon the weather will cool down enough to get outside and walk and work in the yard some. The situps I do in my thoughts haven't done anything to help the ole waistline out any. :)

Well, off to check on the laundry, with school starting tomorrow, I am sure that there is something in the hamper that is a necessity for life tomorrow.
