Catching Up

Well, Tori is home, and trying to get back onto our time. Being 6 hours ahead for 3 weeks makes for some early mornings and long afternoons as she tries not to sleep the day away.

Tuesday Emily had one of her last orthodontist appts. One more wire change in 3 weeks and then we can schedule for the braces to come off. She is excited about that and I don't blame her. Will be about 15 months in them, but the change is amazing.

After the appt we all went to see Surf's Up. It is a cute movie. I can't wait for it to come out on dvd so that we can see it again. Emily stayed at Carol's that night and the two of them went and seen Nancy Drew. They said it was really good.

I took mom to the dr in Hoptown today for her knee. Nothing new there, just a shot and "come back when it is worse". Tomorrow I will be taking Norman back to the dr in Nashville unless they have rescheduled. I couldn't get ahold of anyone to find out, but from what I heard he had his appendix out and was home Sunday night.

The rain has finally come, and we are starting to green up a little. I finally mowed the lawn last night since it was getting a little tall in places. The first time in about 3 weeks since I mowed. The flowers are looking good too.

Have a new puppy show up yesterday afternoon. It is a black and white boxer. Not what we need nor want, and will see if he doesn't belong to the neighbors, but they haven't stopped looking for him, so I think maybe someone may have dumped him off. A.C likes him, she has someone that will play with her, and they are the same size right now, and Bowzer doesn't mind him either. He lets him eat and sleep in his bed, not sure what is up with that!

We found a baby deer the other day. Poor thing had ticks so bad on one eye that it looked like it's eye was falling out. We cleaned it up the best we could and turned it loose. Not sure if it's mama came back for it or not, but we couldn't find it later in the afternoon to try and feed it. Figured if it had been abandoned we would try and raise it. A.C was very protective of it and wouldn't let Bowzer even close to it. She has never been like that before.
Sunday is the Danks Family reunion. This year it is at Mom and Dads house instead of Patsy and Johnny's house. Not sure what mom was doing volunteering, she really doesn't like things like this, she doesn't want lots of people at her house, but it will be more fun for the kids, they can swim, and there is more room for everyone. Should be nice weather for it also. Hope so, I haven't really helped out much with all the preparations, but it seems like it has been one thing after another all the time.
