Baby it is COLD outside! And a bit frosty too! But thats okay, it isn't supposed to last past tonight. Highs to get up into the 60's which is good unless the wind is out of the north. At least the sun is bright and shiny already this morning.
Our neighbor plants tobacco and uses some of our barns to hang it to dry.
What my front porch looked like after the kids got done raking.
These here are a couple of our heifer calves. It seems that they are always standing in numerical order. Aren't they cute! How can you resist those faces!
And this is Rick. He got himself into quite the pickle one day during a rain. The hay ring had been up on its side and he snooped and got himself caught. Now if you have every heard a Jackass bray you know what an annoying sound it can be. I couldn't help but laugh at him and snap a few pictures before letting him out. He really is a pain in the a** sometimes.
Today is Tori's first day on the job. A friend of hers also works there and happens to be working the same shift today and friday and will be taking her to work after school and then Will or I will pick her up. She is a bit nervous which is understandable, but I am incredibly proud of her. She is growing up into quite the young woman.
The holidays are closing in fast and I am trying to make sure that I get the things done I want to. I would like to make gifts for everyone if possible, at least a little something homemade even though we have completed our shopping for everyone for the most part. I have been taking the class on Big Picture and gotten some wonderful ideas and plan on making several from this year and from last years class. Also just signed up for a holiday class on SIStv that starts tomorrow. It is more for the planning part of it with some gifts and decor thrown in. Amber asked me to help her with some things so I figure we can get alot of ideas for her too.
Hoping as always to get some creating done today. A bit behind in Cathy Z's class and would like to get somewhat caught up. It's only 2 weeks as of today and probably a handfull of layouts, but the new week starts tomorrow and I hate getting really far behind.
Here are a few more pictures I took a couple weeks ago while out on the farm.
