A whole lot of nothin'! Will left for FL with his mom early early friday morning and they have been seeing the sights in and around Ft. Lauderdale. I have talked to him several times and he seems to be having a good time. They are cutting their time there a day short due to a possible hurricane hitting on Tuesday around the time that they were scheduled to fly out, so they plan to leave on a later flight Monday. I told him I would feel better if he was back up here when it hit and not stuck in Fla.
Things around here have been pretty quiet for the most part. Little to do on the farm as we haven't had any rain in a couple of weeks and other than checking on everything every couple of days and making sure they have the salt/mineral/grass that they need things are quiet. Pretty usual for this time of year. Unfortunatly unless we get some rain soon to perk the grass back up I will be feeding hay alot sooner than we had anticipated. That wouldn't be good, but it would also force the parents to decide more quickly about cutting the herd down significantly. They keep flipflopping on that issue.
The girls are settled at school for the most part. Emily needs to work on her organizational skills a bit, never been a strong area for her, but she needs to be more conscience of where her stuff is. Tori seems to have settled on her classes finally. She has some classes she really doesn't like, but has no choice but to take because the counselor doesn't want anyone taking classes online. She is basically putting all the kids into one basket instead of helping those that need it and those that want to really put forth extra effort. May have to have a talk with her.
I have been working on the My Freedom album. Have actually gotten the title page and 3 topics finished so far. Once the color/paper choices clicked it was full steam ahead. I figure on working on it again today. I have had alot of fun putting it together and would really like to get it finished before some of my Big Picture classes starte up. I am behind in the Have Fun class and have another one starting on the 28th of August. I also signed up for a 12-week class taught by Cathy Z on big picture. I am super stoked about that one and the Elizabeth Dillow class starts the first part of September. Gotta get busy and a little more organized. I have stacks of handouts laying around.
Well, it really is a bit early on a Sunday to be up, and I really feel like going back to bed for a bit, but will probably get dressed and play in the scraproom for awhile.
