Another week roles by

I can't believe we are into the last week of August. The kids have been in school for a month now and we have our first parent/teacher conferences tomorrow at the high school. We haven't heard when Emily's will be.

In 7 days I will be in Phoenix, Arizona for Creative Escaping. I am so super stoked about it. The Welcome Box was delivered today and I managed to do the projects that were enclosed and to make a little gift for Heidi. I also made up my little travel album that they sent along. I even used Heidi Swapp papers for it. I got them last April at Scrap Etc and haven't used them yet. And to think that I will be bringing home her newest stuff :)

We finally got a little bit of rain from Faye earlier in the week. Not nearly enough after not getting any at all so far this month. We could use about 3 days of just a slow steady rain to make things look good again. All my water maple trees started to shed their leaves, and several others are beginning to change colors.

Mom and I are heading to Nashville in the morning, she is wanting to pick up some things from the Select Comfort store. They are having a sale through the 1st so I got volunteered to drive her down. Maybe have to make a stop at Michaels to see what they have on sale, maybe JoAnns and Hobby Lobby too. Who knows, just need to make the trip worth while.
