Wow, thinking back to what my favorite treats were as a kid has stirred up all sorts of memories. I know that my parents worked hard to provide a comforting home (I am reminded rather frequently) and even though we seemed to want for nothing, I know that there were times when they went without. One thing that we were able to consider a treat was either penny candy from the grocery store or an ice cream cone from the drive-in.
Soft serve ice cream is still my favorite treat. I don't get one very often any more, not even sure why not. Usually when we go out for ice cream it is hot and it melts too fast for me anymore. Sad excuse I know, but I am sticking with it.
I have come up with a better Super hero name for myself. As I was driving to pick up my dad yesterday I began thinking about the dialoge that quite possibly happens on a daily basis in my work (cows can be sooo impatient sometimes!) and I decided I would stick with something simple like the "Cow Whisperer". After working with and around these girls for the past 6 years I can get them to follow me just about anywhere and get them to do just about whatever I want them to, and I know some other people that raise cows that can't get them to do a dang thing. I like to think that I just have that magic touch.
Today Tori and Kevin got their hair cut for school. It starts next Wednesday and I am more than ready, and luckily, so are they. Just have to get Emily home long enough to get hers cut too.
